Early Childhood Intervention Term 4 2018

Dear Families,

A big welcome to all our new families and clients who are now taking advantage of the many services located here under the one roof at Berowra Street.

These past few months have seen lots of change for our not for profit service. One of those being a name change from, Early Childhood Intervention to Early Intervention, Education and Therapies.

We think the new name more appropriately reflects our cliental now using the service. Allied health staff and our teachers are now supporting adolescents and adults who have NDIS plans in their home environments or helping out in the community, for example completing swallowing assessments for patrons at Weeroona or accompanying and helping school leavers navigate their studies at TAFE.

Medicare or self-funded clients are also taking advantage of our wide range of services as we now have EFTPOS facilities available for easy convenience.

All of our current happenings are now posted on our Facebook Page. So head on over and give us a LIKE. Text reminders are now sent out the day before your appointment with us. Emails, texts and newsletters also convey our current workshops.

We welcome a new team member in Danielle Spence. Danielle is a qualified and accomplished Exercise Physiologist. To access this service it needs to be written on your NDIS plan.

The Secret Agent Society social skills groups have proven very popular. Thank you to Bianca and Alison for their expertise and time towards facilitating this exciting group. The evidence-based curriculum captivates children with its espionage-themed games and activities. In 2014, SAS was awarded the Autism Spectrum Australia National Recognition Award for advancement to acknowledge the significant, positive impact the program has on children’s and families’ lives. Contact us if you would like further information on this program and your child’s suitability.

Early Intervention, Education and Therapies is committed to providing high quality care and services and meeting the needs of our families and other service users. Thank you to all our families who have completed this survey as we value feedback from you. At any time please let us know what you think we do well and where we can improve our services.

Lastly, on behalf of the team we would like to wish you a very Happy Christmas and relaxing New Year.
